Reset the refrigerator

If the blade is encased in ice, run a manual defrost cycle via the control panel or leave the freezer door open for 24 hours with towels on the floor.
Place a bowl of warm water near the coils to speed thawing without damaging the liner.

Inspect the door gasket for leaks
Close a dollar bill in the freezer door. If it pulls out easily without resistance, the gasket is worn and letting warm humid air in — which refreezes on the evaporator and blocks the fan.
Check all four edges of the gasket, especially the bottom corners where wear is most common.
