Enter the code shown on your range display

Is it safe to keep using it?

Depends on code severity. Low/Medium codes often allow continued use, High severity requires immediate stop.

Can error codes be reset?

Some codes clear after power cycle. Persistent codes indicate underlying issues needing repair.

When should I stop using it?

Stop immediately for water leak codes, burning smell, or any High severity error.

Low Medium High
Code Meaning Severity Common Symptom
F0 Stuck keypad button Medium The control panel emits repeated beeps and ignores new button presses because the board believes a key is already being held down, locking out normal operation. View F1 Control board failure High Pressing Bake, Broil, or any cook function produces no response from the heating elements or igniter — the control board cannot relay commands to the oven cavity components. View F2 Oven temperature too high High At above-normal temperatures, food residue, grease, or spilled food in the oven burns, producing smoke and an acrid odor before or alongside the F2 code appearing on the display. View F3 Open temperature sensor circuit High Without a valid temperature reading, the control board refuses to run a heating cycle to completion. The oven may briefly energize the element, then cut power as soon as the board polls the sensor and gets no response. View F4 Shorted temperature sensor High A shorted sensor sends an artificially low temperature reading, causing the control board to run the heating element at full power trying to "reach" the set temperature. The oven overheats before F4 trips the safety cutout. View F5 Door latch or lock failure Medium After self-clean completes and the oven cools below the unlock threshold (~550 °F / 288 °C), the door latch motor fails to retract, leaving the door physically locked and inaccessible. View F7 Shorted function key Medium The range spontaneously starts a bake, timer, or other function as if a key were being pressed repeatedly. This is distinct from F0 — F7 can cause actual unintended operation, not just a lockout. View F9 Door lock circuit fault Medium Pressing Self-Clean initiates the pre-heat phase but the door latch motor does not activate or does not complete the lock cycle, causing F9 to appear and the cycle to abort before reaching cleaning temperatures. View F96 Cooling fan failed Medium The range is baking normally using the convection setting and then abruptly cuts heat and displays F96. The cooling fan is not audible from the rear of the range during or after the cycle. View FF Control board total failure High All burners, oven functions, the display, and all touchpad inputs are non-functional. The range appears as if it has no power, yet the circuit breaker is on and other outlets on the same circuit work. View PF Power failure detected Low A cooking cycle in progress was interrupted by a power outage. When power is restored, the range displays PF and the oven remains off — the interrupted cycle is cancelled and must be restarted manually. View
