Code Meaning Severity Common Symptom

DE Defrost system warning Medium A thicker-than-normal layer of white frost builds on the interior walls, shelves, and rear panel — the automatic defrost heaters are not clearing ice on schedule. View FF Freezer fan failure High Stored frozen food begins to soften; ice cream is no longer solid and meat feels thawed. The freezer cannot maintain the set temperature without the fan circulating air. View OP Door open or ajar alert Medium A beeping or chiming alarm activates when the door is detected open beyond the threshold — usually after 3–5 minutes — to alert anyone in the room. View PF Power failure notification Low After a prolonged outage the freezer temperature will have risen; the compressor runs continuously to recover the 0 °F target. View SH Temperature sensor failure High Without valid temperature data the control board either runs the compressor continuously (attempting to cool an unknown state) or shuts it off entirely as a safety measure. View TF Turbo Freeze mode active Low The compressor and evaporator fan run at maximum speed during Turbo Freeze, producing more noise than standard cycling for the 1–8 hour duration of the mode. View
