Hazard Description

Wiring in the rear of the range can overheat during normal cooking operations, posing a fire and burn hazard. In the most serious confirmed incident, overheated wiring caused a fire that resulted in structural damage to the consumer’s home. The defect can manifest without warning, and the rear wiring location makes visual detection difficult before a fire starts.
